Toyota is the Only Automotive Brand to Snag Top 10 Rank for LEED Certification

When drivers think of the Toyota brand, they often picture the ultra-efficient Prius vehicles, along with the hybrid variations of the Camry, Avalon, RAV4, and Highlander. However, there is much more to the Toyota brand when it comes to efficiency and environmental impact. Toyota greatly cares about the Earth and hope that many generations will enjoy its beauty for a long time. That is why the brand is taking certain initiatives to make its products and participating dealerships easier on the environment. Those initiatives have been paying off, since Toyota was placed in a Top 10 ranking for LEED certification.

What is LEED?

The Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) is a certification program that recognizes businesses and organizations that have taken the initiative to make its business model, products, and brick & mortar locations more sustainable. Based on how many initiatives have been accomplished, the business will be listed as platinum (highest), gold, silver, or certified.
So far, Toyota is the only auto brand that has reached a ranking in the Top 10.
