2018 Toyota Tacoma Fuel Economy and Driving Range
We just shared a blog about the fuel economy and driving range of the 2018 Toyota Tundra. As much as we love the 2018 Toyota Tundra here at Headquarter Toyota, we also love its midsize sibling, the 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Since many of our customers choose the 2018 Toyota Tacoma for its style and capabilities, we thought that we would do a similar blog and share the fuel economy and driving range of the midsize truck.
2018 Toyota Tacoma Engine Options
The 2018 Toyota Tacoma can be outfitted with two engine options, which include:
2.7L DOHC 4-Cylinder with VVT-i
Power Output: 159 horsepower / 180 lb.ft. torque
Estimated Fuel Economy: 19 to 20 mpg-city / 22 to 23 mpg-highway
Fuel Tank Capacity: 21.1 gallons
Estimated Driving Range: 400.9 to 422-city / 464.2 to 485.3-highway miles
3.5L V6 DOHC with VVT-iW and VVT-i

Estimated Fuel Economy: 18 to 19 mpg-city / 22 to 24 mpg-highway
Estimated Driving Range: 379.8 to 400.9-city / 464.2 to 506.4-highway miles
Please note that calculations were made based on full tanks of fuel. We recommend refueling at the quarter-tank mark to prevent engine damage. Your actual fuel economy and driving range will vary due to your driving style, the addition of certain mechanisms, towing heavy loads, how much weight your payload is, the type of terrain you encounter, etc.
