Tips for Keeping a Toyota Vehicle’s Leather Surfaces Cool

Here in Miami, we consider ourselves extremely lucky that it is nice and warm all year long – and we certainly do not envy the northern states that have been bombarded with snowstorms for the last few months. While we love the heat, we have to admit that it can be a little painful entering our hot vehicle and touching the hot leather seats and steering wheel. Luckily, we have some tips to help you out.

Ways to Keep Your Toyota Model’s Leather Seats Cool

With the heat and sunshine, we regularly wear shorts, tank tops, and tee-shirts. But if our Toyota has been sitting out in the sun, we are in danger of practically scalding our skin when we sit on the seats.
If you are unable to park your Toyota in a parking garage or shaded area, we recommend covering your seats with either towels or cotton blankets. When you get back to your Toyota, just toss the towels/blankets into the back seat or trunk and enjoy a cooler seat.
We would also like to note that many higher trims of Toyota vehicles come with ventilated seats, and those definitely help cool your seats down in no time!

Ways to Keep Your Toyota Model’s Steering Wheel Cool

OUCH! We can definitely attest that trying to drive with a scalding-hot steering wheel is extremely difficult. To avoid blisters, we recommend investing in a fun and decorative cloth steering wheel cover that is easy to the touch – even if Miami is experiencing a heat wave! If you don’t feel like decking out your Toyota with Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse, or Hello Kitty and just want your leather steering wheel, throwing a towel over the steering wheel will definitely help keep it cooler.
